Our Story: Aotearoa

Hui & Pilgrimage, 24-27 October 2014

Our lives are defined by stories. We must ask ourselves: to which story do I belong?

The story of New Zealand is the story of the gospel. Like any nation, New Zealand’s story contains elements of goodness, brokenness and redemption. Betrayal, war and tension tend to dominate our culture’s collective understanding of our past. Is there a way of retelling the story that isn’t naïve yet recognises the hand of God?

Our Story: Aotearoa seeks to discover how our national narrative and God’s story have been woven together. Celebrate this event alongside representatives of the global mission community and delve into our diverse history. Hear stories of the first NZCMS missionaries sent to this land and from our land, take stock of where we are at today and envision the future with God. Explore the unfolding narrative and discover where you belong.
