Various roles, Egypt

Refuge Egypt are looking to fill three volunteer positions. Refuge Egypt is a humanitarian and development organization that serves refugees who have fled their original country of residence. Refuge Egypt provides humanitarian assistance, medical services, employment and educational programs for refugees in Cairo. Please see their website for more information: www.refuge-egypt.org.

Donor Relations Officer. Task Summary: To be familiar with the work and programs of Refuge Egypt and the situation/needs of the refugee communities in Cairo. To collate information in order to prepare reports of our work for donors and to write proposals for new funding and/or new areas of work. To promote the services offered by Refuge Egypt to the target communities.

Head of Family Support. Task Summary: To lead the Family Support programs of Refuge-Egypt demonstrating care and compassion for refugees and their communities. Manage the existing programs within Family Support whilst also pursuing their strategic development to improve the means of providing for the basic needs of refugees. Liaison with all areas of Refuge-Egypt to ensure that a holistic approach to serving refugees is maintained.

Part-Time Adult English Teacher. Task Summary: The Adult English Teacher is responsible for teaching beginning, intermediate, or advanced English to adult refugees at least two evenings per week. The Adult English Teacher is also responsible for preparing engaging lessons, delivering high-quality instruction, administering regular assessments to track student growth, and preparing monthly reports.

A Christian International School in South Asia is currently on the hunt for teachers. This school has been running for almost ten years and provides quality education for the children of missionaries and internationals serving in one of South Asia’s biggest cities. This education opportunity allows these families to stay in ministry in South Asia longer. The school also has links with a local school, and is able to provide education assistance and financial support. The school offers to pay for teachers’ flights, accommodation and a local salary.
