We are looking for someone who is competent in administration, office management and finances and who has the ability to oversee and manage various projects.

The New Zealand Church Missionary Society (NZCMS) is a mission community seeking to mobilise the Church of New Zealand for God’s mission. We are a team that has big vision and big ideas, seeking someone to help move us from ideation to implementation. We are looking for someone who is able to ask the right questions, identify pitfalls and challenges, help us move from idealism to optimistic yet pragmatic realism, and help oversee strategic activation. To this end, the Operations & Finance Manager will also assist the National Director as his Executive Assistant.

 

This role is well suited for someone who

Executive Director for AsiaCMS

AsiaCMS is seeking to appoint an Executive Director who will take on the leadership role of an expanding missions agency.

AsiaCMS is part of a global network of organisations who obey the call of God to proclaim the Gospel in all places and to draw all peoples into fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ. They equip, train and send mission leaders to various people groups, cultures and countries in the Asian region.

They currently have a vacancy for an individual who can demonstrate the appropriate skill, experience and passion to lead AsiaCMS into its next phase of operations. In particular, they are looking for applicants with the following qualities:

Strategically lead and implement the mission and vision of AsiaCMS Build and lead a team of office-based and regional staff with individual specialisations; this includes direct oversight and annual performance reviews Build relations with wider CMS network, church partners and other stakeholders Identify, develop and implement a fundraising strategy for AsiaCMS

Anglican Missions is a non-profit organisation that seeks to fund and support overseas missions on behalf of the Anglican church. An exciting opportunity has opened up for an Operations and Projects Officer, with the right skills and experience to contribute to our Board’s strategic directions and business plan, including a key focus on climate change.

We are looking for a person with strong leadership skills due to their responsibilities as second in command to the CEO.

Specific tasks include but are not limited to:

Designing, overseeing, implementing and reporting on the Board’s Strategic and Operational plans; Assist the CEO to design and manage the Board’s approach and response to natural disasters, particularly in the Pacific region; Prepare high quality project ‘packages’ and assist with securing project sponsorships; Look out for better ways to connect groups to projects overseas; Excellent and sensitive team builder.

Qualifications:

Job Opportunity: Personnel Director

That includes providing pastoral care, administrative support, risk management and crisis planning support, and cross-cultural advice. The role also involves intentionally seeking and identifying suitable people as Mission Partners, placing them in locations as set out in the NZCMS Strategic Plan, and developing and maintaining effective relationships with them as well as with the Church in New Zealand and our placement partners overseas.

This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic individual, or even a couple who could share the varied responsibilities involved in this role.

Opportunity in Cambodia

The New Hope School in Battambang, Cambodia, is looking for volunteers from all over the world to teach students English and Scripture as well as expose students to different teaching methods. You’ll also be helping with Sunday services. This can be either a part or full time position, and basic accommodation is available on site. The person would need to pay a small contribution towards food and utilities.

New Hope is a Christian school that provides education for underprivileged students by teaching English and Khmer languages, moral values and various vocational skills. By teaching general knowledge and vocational skills, they believe education can change people for the better and offer them a brighter future.

Asia Gateway is an intensive programme laying down a firm foundation in intercultural learning for mission, combining practical experience with theological reflection. It is uniquely endorsed and sponsored by two Malaysian churches (Anglican Diocese of West Malaysia and Methodist Church of Malaysia), Malaysia Theological Seminary (STM), and five mission agencies: AsiaCMS, InterServe, OM, OMF, and SIM East Asia.

A leader who believes in mission training and with the right qualification is needed to conduct this programme in Malaysia for the partnership.
