Education, Papua New Guinea
Kapuna Hospital is hidden deep in the jungle swamps of Papua New Guinea. Clinging tenaciously to the banks of the crocodile-infested Wame River, Kapuna is one of only two hospitals within paddling distance for 30000 PNG locals. Many children in isolated areas like this don’t have the opportunity to attend school, and some schools have no fully trained teachers. In 2016 Carol will be at the Kapuna hospital’s school, teaching Year 4 and 5 while a local lady goes for training.
